Second Saturday Music Series
August 9, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Kelly Carney is our featured performer this month! More info on Kelly below. This event is BYOB and bring your own picnic dinner.
From festivals to bars, from prisons to concert halls, Kelly Carney performs both vocally and on guitar and mandolin. Kelly is a highly versatile musician and vocalist! He will present an eclectic range of folk, bluegrass, acoustic rock, and maybe even an opera aria or two!
From Kelly:
“I have at least two hours of material, and I may have to cut a few songs to keep it to that. So, I’d like to do 2 one-hour sets. ..I found a song about working in a quarry, which I changed the words just a bit, so that it is now “The Soapstone Quarry.” I’ll definitely be doing it, even though I might not get it memorized in time.”
I have a friend, named Thomas Dickenson, who will be joining me on a handful of songs with some harmony vocals, to add in a little more variety. As if folk (American and Irish), bluegrass, acoustic rock, country, and opera weren’t enough variety.”
