Expert Guest Lecture: Amanita of Virginia and the Southeast

Join us for a special lecture hosted by our friends at the Blue Ridge Mycological Society! Amanitas are some of the most beautiful and ornate mushrooms we get to see in our forests. Because of their diverse set of characteristics, it may seem daunting to attempt identifying them. Luckily, Dr. Britt Bunyard, author of “Amanitas of North America” is coming to help guide us into the world of these colorful critters. We will not only get to learn about some of the species that grow in our region, but he will give us tools to help narrow our Amanita collections down to “section.”

This is a free event, but due to limited space registration is required at this link: https://brmsclub.org/amanitatellmeyourname/
